I left the house at 5:15 am on Saturday morning, to meet Philip and Lawrence at the Urban Fare in Yaletown, which is the trendy part of downtown Vancouver where Philip and other affluent hipsters reside. Lawrence and I were coming from the burbs – by train. I caught the Canada Line from the Bridgeport station and got to the Yaletown/Roundhouse station at 6:10 am. Philip arrived at 6:30 am and a few minutes later, Lawrence arrived. We had a coffee and then headed outside for our walk around the downtown and Coal Harbour.
Here are a few of the photos and video clips from our walk: Saturday morning walk
The weather forecast is predicting a few more days of this mild and sunny weather, and I had been hoping to walk with the Venturers in Kitsilano today but I need to take my Holly to the vet. Yesterday, when I got home, I noticed that she had blood in her stool and she’s not her usual self – so I’m worried about her. But things could always be worse, so I’m not complaining.
By the way, here are a few photos from the film project I booked for Vets Canada. My role is an almost homeless vet, living in his old motorhome and trying to survive – but still proudly wearing one of his medals.
Dedicated to Holly Golightly, my dog.
Hugs,
Danny
